This project proposes a fully embedded distributed control architecture capable of assigning real-time control tasks to submodule controllers, thereby improving the modularity of the MMC system. A central controller will still be used to handle system-level tasks such as output current and power regulation, while control of the MMC's internal dynamics and pulse-width modulation (PWM) generation will be distributed among submodule controllers. The proposed distributed control architecture is designed to operate at an elevated equivalent switching frequency exceeding 60 kHz, with reduced wiring, high expandability, a robust control loop, low-latency communication between controllers, and perfect synchronization of all time-critical action
