Professional engineers and graduate students can enroll in a new, online course that offers a foundational understanding of analyzing and designing grid-connected power electronic circuits for electric energy conversion and control. The Grid-connected Advanced Power Electronics Systems (GRAPES) Center led by the UA Power Group promotes the adoption and insertion of power electronics into the electric grid. Professional engineers can earn 10 hours of continuing education credit (CEU) for completing the courses. The course costs $600 but is available at a discounted price of $50 for current U of A students and $300 to industry members of the GRAPES center.
